A TRALEE man has been appointed first team manager at League Of Ireland First Division club, Wexford Youths.
Damian Locke was appointed on Thursday and faces the task of bringing the side back into the Premier League after they were relegated this season.
The 29 year old has over 10 years of coaching experience, including working with Republic of Ireland Senior Men’s squad as assistant analyst throughout Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Damian has also experienced International football with the Rep. of Ireland u18 men’s and u19 women’s squads as Head Analyst in Wales and Luxembourg.
Speaking to Wexford Youths website on Friday, Damian said he is delighted with the appointment.
“Obviously I’m over the moon, it probably hasn’t sunk in yet as I’ve been up the walls with duties so far. I’m looking to hit the ground running meeting up with the lads,” he said. To hear the full interview, click here
The son of Junior and Helen Locke, the Tralee man started his playing career with Tralee United and later joined Tralee Dynamos. He was manager with Carlow side Crettyard United before joining as Head Coach of Wexford Youths.
