The former Kingdom Boys/Tralee Dynamos player was playing in the first round qualifier of the European competition in Luxembourg where, despite losing 2-1 on the night, he and his teammates did enough to progress with a 2-2 draw on aggregate.

The students went down to 10 men early in the first half, so it was a dogged and determined performance from the Irish team as they held on for what will go down as a famous night in the team’s history.
