Tralee Rotary Presents €1,500 To ADAPT

TRALEE Rotary Club presented €1,500 to the ADAPT Womens Refuge this week.

“Rotarys motto is ‘Service above Self’ and we as a club and as Rotary members, try to keep this in mind in everything we do,” said Sharon Hayes, President of Tralee Rotary Club.

“We are delighted considering the difficult times to be in a position to give out these monies and have the Rotary club members and the public to thank for this.”

It is a non-political and non-religious organization open to all.Local rotary clubs endeavour to support local community and charity organisations.

Rotary like many other organisations missed out on their usual fundraising activities but still managed to give out some monies to local organisations including:

• Castlegregory Community Council Tree Project
• Kerry International Film Festival
• Rehab Care, Blennerville
• Paediatric Dept, Bon Secours Hospital
• Scoil Eoin, Balloonagh Primary School
• Phoenix Women’s Resource Centre
