A TRALEE woman’s note to Australian customs officers is going viral at the moment.
Jacinta O’Mahony sent a package to her son Brendan in Perth, Western Australia, containing goodies for Christmas and to sweeten up the customs officials, she left them a note.
The note reads: “Customs in Perth. Happy Christmas from Ireland, just some goodies for my family. Please have a sweet and we will see ye in August when we hopefully get to visit your lovely country. Thanks for letting my gifts through.”
The story is on the Joe.ie website – thanks to Danny Roche who contacted them – since this morning and has been shared over 2,000 times so far.
We’re sure Brendan, who has been away for four years, appreciates her efforts.
