There were 13 award recipients at the 2023 IYFTYs, which were broadcast on RTÉ2 on Wednesday, April 12, hosted by Stephen Byrne and Gemma Bradley.

Glen’s short titled The Legend of Patrick Greenwood about a retired soldier turned gardener who considers what legacy he will leave behind. A period drama set in amazing locations with an environmental theme.

There was also success for 18 year old west Kerry native Malachaí Ó Ciardhubháin. He won Best Screenplay for the Irish language short Nellie, which tells the story of a dispute over the family farm, with a literal twist in the tail.
