A Wonderful Night At Tralee Musical Society’s ‘Strictly’ Event

TRALEE Musical Society held its Strictly Young Dancing  competition in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Saturday night.

It had couples of aged eighteen and younger dancing  and was a fantastic night of entertainment with a massive variety of styles.

With great host Mr. Mike Lynch to steer everything along smoothly, nine couples took to the stage and danced their hearts out.

Bryan Carr School Of Performing Arts, Cassie Leen’s Dance School, The Oliver Hurley School Of Performing Arts and Revolution Dance School had couples dancing and with Judges Joanne Barry, Siobhán Murphy and Daniel Flanagan, the night was held to a professional standard.

The winners of the Junior Competition were Timmy Kerins and Laila Collins from Cassie Leen’s School Of Dance, while the winners of the Senior Competition were Katie-Anne Harris and Darragh Hurley from The Oliver Hurley School Of Performing Arts. Well done to all the competitors.

Special thanks were given to everyone involved — the Ballyroe Heights Hotel, the spotprize donators, the production team, the judges, M.C. extraordinaire Mike Lynch, the teachers of the students and all involved with the competition.

And a final thank you was given to the committee of Tralee Musical Society and to Seán Hannifan, Norma O’Brien, Natalie Murphy and Gary Murphy for all the hard work they put in.
