12 New COVID-19 Cases Reported For Kerry This Evening, 525 Nationally

THERE were 12 new cases of COVID-19 reported for Kerry at the NPHET briefing this evening.

There were three additional deaths and 525 more cases reported nationally.

The 14 day incidence of new cases for Kerry is 65 per 100,000 people. There have been 96 cases reported in the same period and the rolling five day average of cases is 6.

Kerry is now the county with the third  lowest incidence of cases in the past 14 days (after Cork and Kilkenny). The national incidence rate over the past 14 days is 172.3.

214 in Dublin, 37 in Meath, 28 in Offaly, 28 in Limerick and 25 in Wicklow and the remaining 193 cases are spread across 19 other counties.

There have now been 223,219 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland and 4,422 people who died with the virus since the start of then pandemic.

As of 8am today, 423 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 103 are in ICU. There have also been 14 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of March 4th, 493,873 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland:
• 346,256 people have received their first dose
• 147,617 people have received their second dose
