182 New COVID Cases In Tralee LEA In Fortnight Up To Last Monday

THERE were 182 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Tralee Local Electoral Area in the 14 day period up to Monday, August 23, according to figures available on the Government’s COVID-19 data hub.

This is a 14-day incidence rate of 550.9 per 100,000 of the population, above the national incidence of 526.4 per 100,000 as of Monday, August 23. It’s the third highest rate of the six LEAs in the county.

The LEA with the highest incidence in the county is Kenmare with 166 new cases, a rate of 662.4 per 100,000. The Killarney Electoral Area saw 175 new cases, a current 14-Day Incidence Rate of 591.1 per 100k of the population.

There were 80 cases in the Corca Dhuibhne Electoral Area, a rate of 564.1 per 100,000. The Listowel Electoral Area saw 133 new cases and a rate of 463.8 per 100,000 and the Castleisland LEA saw 63 new cases and a rate of 367.5 per 100,000.
