189 New COVID Cases In Tralee LEA In Fortnight Up To Monday

THERE were 189 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Tralee Local Electoral Area in the 14 day period up to Monday, August 30, according to figures available on the Government’s COVID-19 data hub.

This is a 14-day incidence rate of 572.1 per 100,000 of the population, above the national incidence of 523.3 per 100,000 as of Monday, August 30. It’s the third highest rate of the six LEAs in the county.

The LEA with the highest incidence in the county is Kenmare with 189 new cases, a rate of 754.1 per 100,000. The Castleisland LEA saw 103 new cases and a rate of 600.8 per 100,000.

There were 81 cases in the Corca Dhuibhne Electoral Area, a rate of 571.2 per 100,000. The Killarney Electoral Area saw 159 new cases, a current 14-Day Incidence Rate of 537 per 100k of the population.

The Listowel Electoral Area saw 145 new cases and a rate of 505.7 per 100,000. There have been 7,158 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kerry since the pandemic began.
