TRALEE Educate Together National School student, Lenka Zigova, has been shortlisted for the ‘Have You Got Maths Eyes’ poster competition.
Entrants were required to create a poster by taking a photograph in their local environment and highlighting the mathematics they see in the photo.
She will now go on to represent her school in the Under 11 category and will find out in April if she has won the overall prize for this category.
All those that are shortlisted will be invited to a celebration where all entries will be exhibited and the winners in each category will be announced while a selection of shortlisted entries will be part of a Maths Eyes exhibition which will tour venues on the Island of Ireland during 2016.
