Gardaí Appeal For Information About Burglaries In Tralee And North Kerry

garda_1GARDAÍ are looking for the public’s help in relation to a number of burglaries in Tralee and north Kerry in the past week where jewellery, mobile phones and a safe were among items taken.

On Tuesday, May 3, a house in the Irremore area of Listowel was broken into between 1.40pm and 3pm. A substantial amount of jewellery was taken in the break-in. A blue 03-registered Volkswagen Passat was seen in the area at the time and gardai are interested in any information in relation to this vehicle.

One of the items taken was a pearl watch with a square face, an engagement ring with nine diamonds, a silver ring with a cream pearl face and silver ring with a sapphire stone, a Dolce and Gabbana watch with diamonds, a pearl necklace and pearl bracelet, earrings with a topaz stone, a gold chain  necklace with a cross.

If anyone has been offered any of the above items for sale, please contact gardaí in Listowel.

On Thursday, May 5, a house in the Kerries was broken into. It happened between 12pm and 2pm and two mobile phones were stolen in the break-in.

Shortly before 2pm on Saturday, May 7, the presbytery in Abbeydorney was broken into. A safe was removed from the sitting room, luckily there was no cash in the safe. Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to anything suspicious in the area around this time.
