GARDAI in Kerry have advised pedestrians to take greater care while walking and using their mobile phone.
The warning comes as Gardai in the county have observed walkers causing a risk to themselves and others while talking or texting on their mobile.
People have been seen walking straight across the road while using mobiles without looking left and right. They are reminded that they also have a duty to behave responsibly for other road users and should concentrate on their movements rather than their mobile devices.
