Soccer sisters FAI Easter Camp
There are still some places left on in the Avaia soccer sisters camp which is being held in Christy Leahy Park on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th of March. To book online you just have to go to http://www.fai.ie/domestic/fai-womens/aviva-soccer-sisters
Our U12A ,played out a goalless draw with Iveragh United in Christy Leahy Park, Having a number of chances but were unable to find a way past a very resolute Iveragh back line and the few times we managed to get beyond their defensive line the Iveragh goalkeeper was in fine form. The best and biggest save came right at the death when Jack Slattery cut in off the left wing and hit a ferocious strike which was heading towards the top corner only for the keeper to get finger tips on it to turn the ball around his near post. Best on the day we’re
Finn O’Neill, Jack Slattery, Aaron Powell and MOTM going to Immanuel Manu.
Our 13A played out a 2-2 with Killarney Celtic in Killarney on Saturday afternoon. Goals coming from Callum O’Sullivan and Darren Currnane with Obinna Izizi being MOTM
Our U15B went down 8-1 at home to a strong Rattoo Rovers. Mark Curtin got our goal with Michael Forrest was the best on the day for our U15B.
FAI Youth Cup Quarter Final.
1-0 on 25 min. Conor o Brien.
Great through ball by Mervyn onto a flying Conor and he cooly slotted it home. The home side equalised in the 56th min. And that’s how the game would finish at full time and after extra time. St Brendans Park Fc win 6-5 on penalties
Great game from 1st whistle to last. Andrew Breen at left full and Shane Jordan at centre half were outstanding all day and Conor Hayes became the hero with a brilliant save in the penalty shootout. Bring on the semi-final.
