Lovely weather again this weekend…ok, not really. It’s going to be a bit rubbish again on Saturday, but brighter on Sunday so maybe you might venture out to one of these…
Saturday
1. Support The Green…
Ok, straight off we’re veering away from town and over the road to Killarney, but for a good cause.
CBS The Green are taking on the ‘old enemy’, St Brendan’s College Killarney in the Corn Uí Mhuirí Final at Fitzgerald Stadium at 2pm.
The Tralee school will be hoping to take the title after a gap of 13 years, with defeats in three finals since 2007. They’ll need all the support they can get tomorrow so if you have a connection to the school try to make it.
2. Derby day for Warriors…
Tralee Sports Complex will be absolutely hopping on Saturday as Garvey’s Tralee Warriors welcome Keane’s Supervalu Killorglin to the cauldron.
With Warriors ahead in the Men’s Superleague table and just four games to go, it’s vital to their chances of retaining their crown. Tip-off is at 7.30pm but get there early before it sells out.

3. Kent stationed in Siamsa…

If you’re in the mood for good laugh, acclaimed comic, Chris Kent, brings his new show, ‘Christy Doesn’t Live Here Anymore’ to the Siamsa Tíre stage.
The Cork man has more stories, more kids and a keep cup to compensate for his guilt about overpopulation.
Chris tries to come to terms with being called “well trained” for carrying out basic tasks and also gets deep, talking about his favorite clothes horse or “garment donkey”. Contact Siamsa Tire on 066-7123055 for details.
Sunday
4. Match day for Kerry…
It’s back to Killarney on Sunday as the Kerry footballers return to league action after a week’s break. They take on Meath in Round 4 of the Allianz Football League Division 1 at Fitzgerald Stadium, with the earlier than usual throw in time of 1pm.
Get on the road early because traffic is sure to be heavy from the Tralee side. The Kerry ladies are in Lidl Ladies Football NFL Division 2 action against Tyrone in the curtain raiser at 11am.

5. Watch Ireland take on the ‘old enemy’…
Why not end the weekend by going out and watching the rugby game in the pub? Make an afternoon of it by having Sunday lunch in one of the town’s many excellent restaurants and hotels and cheer on Ireland against England in the Six Nations afterwards in the pub. It’s the weekend so treat yourself!
