€12,600 Raised To Buy Webcams For Ardfert/Kilmoyley Churches

The presentation of funds to Ardfert/Kilmoyley Parish for the purchase of webcams.

A FUNDRAISER has set up to help buy webcams to be installed in Ardfert and Kilmoyley churches was a massive success with the community digging deep and to raise €12,600.

The Ardfert and Kilmoyley churches are without webcams due to the costs associated with renovations on both churches in the last few years.

Masses celebrated by Fr Pat Crean Lynch are being broadcast via facebook using mobile phone, but unfortunately  the service is not suitable as it cuts out many times during mass and many parishioners are not on the social media platform.

The fundraiser set out to raise €3,500 for each webcam and they easily surpassed that target with prize also presented in a raffle.

The draw for the raffle was held on Saturday an prizes winners included 1st €250 for Elizabeth O’Leary, Ballymac; 2nd €150 for  Sheila Leen of Ardfert and 3rd prize of €100 Kieran Nolan from the Spa. The fundraisers would like to thank everyone for their support.
