Fundraiser Set-Up To Buy Webcams For Ardfert/Kilmoyley Parish

A FUNDRAISER has been set up to help buy webcams to be installed in Ardfert and Kilmoyley churches.

The Ardfert and Kilmoyley churches are without webcams due to the costs associated with renovations on both churches in the last few years.

Masses celebrated by Fr Pat Crean Lynch are being broadcast via facebook using mobile phone, but unfortunately  this service is not suitable as it cuts out many times during mass. Also, many parishioners are not on the social media platform, so webcams would be more accessible.  However, it costs €3,500 for each webcam.

A gofundme page has been set-up to help raise funds and can be accessed by clicking here.

The organisers of the fundraiser will be at each church yard this and next Saturday from 12noon to 1pm and there are also lines available for families who may like to take a card between them. There is a raffle associated with it to encourage donations.

As organisers say on the gofundme page; “As this is the new normal for mass, Weddings, Funerals, communion, confirmation and other family events including Anniversary this will give people a chance to be with their loved ones in their time of need ‘together but apart’.”

There are more details on the Ardfert Kilmoyley Facebook page and Fr Pat Crean Lynch has also done a live video (below).
