WITH tickets sold out well in advance, the Down Syndrome Kerry ‘Re-New Fashion Show’ was an enormous success and a fantastic night of fun at The Rose Hotel on Friday night.
Attended by around 250 people, it provided a showcase of the amazing fashion on offer from the 321 Shop.
After a drinks reception on entry, Margaret Kissane of Connect Publications proved a wonderful host and introduced Lauren Glennon from Ballyheigue who thrilled the crowd with her wonderful singing to begin the event.

After introducing the head judges —renowned fashion designer Don O’Neill, Paul Scanlon, Carmel Roche, and beauty expert Mary O’Donnell — it was then the turn of young models to strut their stuff on the catwalk with the crowd cheering them on.
Fiona Horgan, Geraldine O’Regan, Carmel Russell, Joe O’Brien also lent their creative genius to the occasion, while the other talented models taking part included Grainne O’Rourke, Liam Purcell, Sinead Fitzgerald, Dale O Carroll, Mary Purcell, Stephen Roche, Kevin Ross of Balloons Le Gra, Ann Marie Ladden, Noel Ryan, Kate McNamara, Siobhan Looney, and Brendan Fuller of Radio Kerry.
