IT was a glorious morning for a dip on Christmas Day as an estimated 600 swimmers ran for the sea in Fenit.
They began arriving well before the noon start time, (un)dressed to impress in all sorts of Christmas outfits with the Santa hat an ubiquitous accessory.
Members of Fenit RNLI rattled the buckets and people were generous in their donations, while hot drinks flowed both before and after the event.

The hordes lined up in the winter sunshine just before noon, raring to go, as the first notes of ‘Jingle Bells’ emerged from one section.
It rapidly spread throughout the masses and finally, the signal was given to dash to the uninviting ocean.
The scantily clad mob plunged into the cold Atlantic waters, not once, not twice, but three organ-worrying times.
It was another fantastic event with hundreds more watching from the beach in comfort.
