If you have ever wondered what lives in Tralee bay, thought about doing a bit of Seashore Forraging or learning about the Wonderful World of Mushrooms then Fenit is the place to be this coming weekend.

Activities include The Big Beach Biodiversity Survey with Explore Your Shore and guided walks that take you through the biodiversity that we pass every day or meet Fenit’s friendly dolphins on a kayak tour of the Lighthouse.

Sunday has something for all the family, with activities for young and old, food stalls, local artisan producers and craft demonstrations. Plus talks on a range of topics, from moths and ferns, to crows and cuckoos.

Over the course of three days, Fenit will come alive with a wide range of events and activities each of which aims to inform, inspire and immerse us in our natural environment.

WildMind aims to empower people to make everyday changes in how we think about and treat the planet. Changes that collectively, do make a difference.

The festival kicks off on Friday evening where the opening keynote talk will be from inspirational young scientist, inventor and sustainability advocate Fionn Ferreira who recently found himself on Forbes 30 under 30 list.

Fionn’s talk will be followed by the screening of Birdsong and a Q&A with Anja Murray and music with Donal Dineen to round off the evening. All information on events and tickets can be found at www.wildmind.ie.
