A TRALEE native was the winner of the Best Dressed Lady on Sunday on the opening day of the Listowel Races Whit Weekend Meeting.
Caroline O’Sullivan (nee Foran), originally from Tralee but now living in Lisselton, won the prize in the face of stiff competition from a plethora of stylish ladies at the meeting.
Caroline, a solicitor who works in Tralee, attended the races with her husband Eamon and three young children, Serena (9), Jessica (8) and Kristin (5).

Caroline wore a latte coloured shift dress with royal blue trim detail from Catherine McCormack’s boutique, Adare, and a matching headpiece by Ardfert based milliner, Antoinette O’Mahony.
Organised by Eilish Stack and judged by TV personalities, stylist Marietta Doran and beauty expert, Mary O’Donnell, there was a total Ladies Day prize fund of €5,000 sponsored by Listowel town businesses and publicans.
The two runners up were Maeve Murphy from Kinsale in Cork and Caitriona Walsh from Listowel.
Judges Marietta Doran and Mary O’Donnell toured the course and personally selected over 60 ladies to join them for final judging.
After deliberations, 10 finalists were selected from which the three winners were chosen. Second runner up Caitriona Walsh was wearing a beige and blue patterned shift dress by Lipsy and headpiece from Brown Thomas.
First runner up, Maeve Murphy, was wearing a fitted burgundy dress from high street retailer, Coast and hat by Cork based milliner, Celestine McCoy, Hattitude.
