Austin Stacks CrestPEIL FAOI 6/8/10: The show goes on despite affairs that have to be settled in Croke Park on Sunday! Ciarraí Abú! Business as usual in Caherslee at 11am on Sunday and ‘best wishes’ to ‘Star’ and Kerry later in the afternoon when we’ll see the clash of giants!!

PEIL FAOI 12: (i) Under 12 boys will train on Tuesday and on Thursday from 5.30pm to 6.45pm i bPáirc na mBan Rialta, Connolly Park. (ii) We had mixed fortunes on Sunday last as our As and Cs went down to Ballymac; our Bs, however, had a win v Blennerville.

SCÓR NA bPÁISTÍ: (i) The Scór na bPáistí county final quiz was held on Sunday last sa Scoil Idirmheánach (ISK), Cill Orglan. ‘Well done’ to The Rock representatives who performed excellently in very ‘high quality’ quiz company…Laura Ní Raghallaigh, Kirby Áine Ní Riain, Brian Mac Eileagóid, Clóda Ní Mhuirí. We hope to see/hear you again, lads, in Scór na nÓg in October.

(ii) Comhghairdeachas to our hurling neighbours, Tralee Parnells, who were 2nd in the quiz; they answered 24 out of 30 questions; the winning team scored 25!

(iii) Later in the afternoon, in Halla Pobail na Faille Móire, Club Naomh Pádraig (Blennerville) won the ballad group section. A great boost for Scór in the Tralee Area!

PEIL FAOI 14: (i) Last week our B team travelled to Ballymac and played in an exciting encounter in almost unplayable conditions. Ballymac settled the better and seemed to be on the road to success but two points from Armin Heinrich and a terrific point from Ciarán Kelliher left the minimum between us at half-time…2-4 to 1-6. Led by a dominant Joey Nagle the ‘Black’n’Amber Brigade’ controlled the second half. A goal from James Charles preceded a succession of wides.

A point from the ever-willing Armin Heinrich put us one up. But a last-gasp point from Ballymac levelled matters, leaving The Rock to rue their missed chances. Full time: 2-9 to 3-6. An fhoireann: Ben Quilter, Kevin Barry, Brian McElligott, Donnacha Fox, Ruairí O’Connell, Ciarán Kelliher, Gearóid Kilgallen, Armin Heinrich, Johnny Feely, Leon Gallagher, Evan Foley, Dylan Hurley, Matthew Browne, James Charles, Gavin Slattery, Joey Nagle, Daragh Flynn, Kaplan O’Flynn.

(ii) Both sides were in action again on Wednesday 20th….our A boys travelled to challenge Laune Rangers and our busy Bs travelled to Lios an Phúca (Beaufort).

(iii) We’ll train again on Sunday next (24th) from 4pm to 5.30pm.in Connolly Park.

PEIL FAOI 16: Beidh traenáil ag na leaideanna Faoi 16 ar an Aoine agus ar an Domhnach seo chugainn. We had a classic draw with Desmonds last week in the Central League and that ensured that we are unbeaten in the tournament. We have qualified for the semi finals with one game to spare v John Mitchels. Keep it up, boys!
