PEIL FAOI 12: Our U12 boys are quietly working on their game in the training ground. Leanaigí oraibh, a leaideanna! Is fiú an dua agus an obair chrua! The Under 12 Central League will commence in September.

PEIL FAOI 13: The Under 13 boys are preparing assiduously for the forthcoming Rose Cup Competition which will be sponsored by Muintir Uí Dhonnchú of Oaklands ‘Daybreak’ Shop.

PEIL FAOI 14: (i) U14A Central Region (Round 2): As we were missing key players, because of injury and holidays, our team looked for someone to step up, show leadership and give the team a lift in our recent away game v Castlegregory. Enter Donnacha Mac an tSaoir! He was involved in all the good play of the forwards, he greatly assisted the brilliant movements that paved the way for Jordan Kissane’s 3-0 and he scored 0-6. Mighty! Shane Bastible contributed 2-5 and gave an exhibition of long range Pat Spillane-type shooting. The hardy Dean Rusk worked non-stop for 60 minutes and covered every blade of grass ar an bpáirc, while in defence Ruairí Ó Conaill and Josh Lynch expertly snuffed out Castlegregory’s continuous series of threats. Full time: AdeS A: 5-16; Castlegregory A: 3-13.

(ii) U14B Central Region: Our Bs played v Ballymac B in Connolly Park and we witnessed another terrific team performance. Great credit must go to the Under 12 lads who played a big part in this win. They slotted into the team very well and it looked as if the panel had played together all season. Top class! The game was rounded off with a glorious goal from Declan Lacey, who Mikey-Sheehy-like, chipped the ‘keeper from 15 yards. Full time: SdeS B: 5-19; Ballymac B: 2-11. Well done, boys!

(iii) Our Under 14s played Ardfert on Friday last in Connolly Park in Round 3 of the Central League and were victorious on a scoreline of 5-6 to 4-7. A good win in a close encounter. Well done, men!
