PEIL FAOI 12: Our U12 boys are quietly working on their game on the training ground. Is fiú an dua agus an obair chrua! The Under 12 Central League will commence in September. Bímis ullamh chuige!
PEIL FAOI 13: The Under 13 boys are preparing enthusiastically for the upcoming Corn an Róis Competition which will be sponsored by Jer and James Ó Donnchú of Oaklands ‘Daybreak’ Shop in Oakpark.
PEIL FAOI 14: (i) Our 14Bs played Castleisland Desmonds in Division 3 of the Central League on Monday last.
(ii) Our A boys travelled to Ballymac last week to play in the Central League. We were not at our very best in a close encounter in Arabella on a humid autumn evening…the teams were much closer than the score suggests!
Ben Quilter in goal had to be sharp on a number of occasions to save our bacon! Defenders Donncha Fox and Joey Nagle put in a full shift and worked frantically, feverishly and tirelessly…as did many others.
Dean Rusk, our midfield dynamo, kicked 2 fine points and delivered quality ball to the forwards. Donnacha Sayers scored 6 points. Shane Bastible had contributed 1-3 before a cárta dubh brought an untimely termination to his contribution. However, in his absence, wing forwards Evan Foley and Seán Collins picked up the slack and gained a lot of good possession that greatly helped to kill the goose.
Full-time score: Austin Stack Club A: 2-16; Ballymac A: 3-6. Well done, Rockmen!! Our A boys have now qualified for the semi-final of the league and will challenge the winners of the Ardfert v Castlegregory upcoming game.
(iii) Our boys on the Kerry Under 14 Football Development Squad: Armin Heinrich, Joey Nagle, Dean Rusk, Shane Bastible, Conor Horan, Jordan Kissane.
PEIL FAOI 15: Our Under 15 Football County Development Squad boys: Adam Curran, Luke Chester and Cian Purcell.
PEIL FAOI 16: (i) Lee Strand County League Division 1: (a) Round 3: Crokes 1-8; AdeS A: 4-6. A great victory, boys! This week’s challenge is Legion A…a tough encounter! Semi-finals (expected date): 9th August; Final (expected date): 16th August.
(ii) Division 7: Our B boys had a big win over Asdee/Ballylongford last week and this week they take on the might of the John Mitchel Club boys.
(iii) Our U16 lads on the Kerry Development panel: David Oba, Dara Barry-Walsh, Seán Quilter, Eoghan Carroll, Daniel O’Rourke, Páraic Linnane, Conor Myers.
