Austin Stacks CrestSEASONS GREETING: We wish all our members, supporters, sponsors and readers of these Notes a happy and holy Christmas.

U21 FOOTBALL: The U21F Co. Club Final (Shield Section) between ourselves and Templenoe did not go ahead as scheduled last Saturday. No new date has been fixed as we write, although both Clubs have been advised by Co. Board to play it on or before 10th January.

SCÓR SINSIR: Senior Scór will commence in early January.  Anyone who can dance, sing, act and play music, and who is 17 years of age or over (from 1st January 2016), will be eligible to participate.

The first round competitions, to be held in Tralee in early January, are: Set Dance (two parts), Figure Dance, Ballad Group, Music Group, Historical Presentation (Sketch), Solo Singer, Reciter and Table Quiz (team of 4).

CLUB CALENDAR: The usual brilliant production at this time of year – the Club Calendar – with photographs of most Club teams from under 6 upwards – is on sale now for €5 each, or 3 for €10 – an ideal  Christmas Gift.

CONGRATULATIONS: to former Club Footballer, Billy Sheehan, who will be joining Peader Healy (Cork’s new SF Manager) and his back-room staff for the coming season.

BINGO: There will be no Bingo on this coming Saturday (St. Stephen’s Night) It will resume again on the following Saturday (2nd Jan) and will continue on each Saturday night thereafter, commencing at 8.30pm each night.

CLUBHOUSE: As always the Clubhouse is available for all types of Parties. For Bookings phone Des Griffin at 086 402 0808.

CARDS: The 45 Card Sessions will continue in the Clubhouse on the Monday Nights over the Christmas period at the usual time of 9.30. But there will be no Cards on the Thursday Nights of Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The Thursday nights will resume again on 7th January.

All at the Cards wish to thank Des and his Bar Staff for their hospitality over the past few card nights leading up to Christmas.

All at the Cards also extend congratulations to Tom Leen on the well-deserved honour bestowed on him by his Ballymac GAA Club. Tom has been appointed Club President in succession to the late Jerome McEllistrim who served in that position for many years.

LOTTO: Last week’s (14th Dec) Jackpot, worth €5,000, was not won. The numbers drawn were 1, 15, 18 and 31.

The €20 Winners were: Morgan & Majella O’Connell, c/o Club Rockies; Noreen Power, c/o The Ladies; Marie Leen and Kevin Madden, both c/o Carmel O’Neill; and Michelle Warmsley, c/o Richard Healy.

SYMPATHY: Sincere sympathy is offered to the families of the following who died recently – Tom O’Sullivan, Oakpark Road; Lilian Inchley (nee Zambra), O’Rahilly’s Villas; Anne Dennehy (nee O’Neill), Racecourse Lawn and late of Cahersiveen; and Margaret (Peggy) O’Connor, Oakpark Demesne and late of Bridge Street and Dominick Street.
