Group B Round 3 @Ballymacelligott GAA Grounds.
Ballymacelligott 3-11 Annascaul 1-13
Ballymacelligott and Annascaul came into this game with three points each. Sixteen minutes into the first half, Michéal Reidy intercepted a ball in the half-back line, an Annascaul move to up the pace after a Donal Daly goal, he took the ball out of danger into the forwards and Aidan Breen scored a point. This determination and work rate communicated that Ballymac were determined to fight hard for this game.
Ballymac played with a strong wind in the first half. Aidan Breen opened the scoring with a pointed free from Ballymac and Annascaul’s Jason Hickson matched this with a point from a free. In the 21st minute, Daire Keane hit a great ball towards the net only for it to rebound. Niall Collins was there to catch it and passed it to Donal Daly who scored a goal.
Michéal Reidy stopped Annascaul’s counteroffensive that resulted in an Aidan Breen point. Thomas Ashe for the Western side scored a point, his teammate Cathal Ferriter scored a goal and another point from Jason Hickson put Annascaul in the lead for the first time Annascaul 1-03 Ballymac 1-02.
Aidan Breen scored three points. He followed with a free that Niall Collins caught and with great foresight he saw that Dan Shea was loose and the ball ended up in the back of the Annascaul net. Dan Shea added another point leaving the half-time score: 2-07 to 1-03.
In the second half, Both teams traded points, and ten minutes into the half Vinnie Horan scored a goal. The score now was 3-09 to 1-05. Annascaul scored a point followed by another for Ballymac from Daire Keane.
Annascaul scored four points on the trot. Dara Broderick scored the last point from a free for Ballymac. Annascaul scored the final three points of the game from Aidan Crean, Jason Hickson, and Killian Falvey.

A home game is fantastic for the players and for home supporters. It adds to the enjoyment of the day to play on your own pitch in front of a good home crowd.

Senior Ladies
Cromane 2-13 Ballymac 1-17
The Ballymac Senior Ladies began their Junior A Championship campaign with a hard earned but well deserved one point victory away in Glenbeigh v Cromane on Monday evening in lovely sunshine.
The home team began well with two points in the first few minutes. Ballymac got off the mark with a Roisin Rahilly free. Cromane then goaled from full forward Eimear Burke. Ballymac responded with three Ellie McElligott frees plus points from Rachel Creedon and Aisling O Connell.
Another Ellie mac free was followed by a goal from Roisin Rahilly in what was a really purple patch for our girls. Three points from Cromane were followed by a Rachel Creedon double. Ella Quirke and Keelin Enright got the final scores of the half to make it Cromane 1-07 Ballymac 1-11
The second half was full of passion and total commitment by two teams playing well. Cromane scored first and then Ballymac had points from McElligott (2), and Rahilly.
The Cromane fightback then began with a goal and a flurry of points. Kate Collins nudged us one ahead again.
The home team responded once again to set up a thrilling finale. It was end to end but the game was decided when Kate Collins burst through and fisted over. Cromane had one last chance but a great save from keeper Kerry Hennessy plucking the ball from over the crossbar saved the day.
A cracking opening game to our championship. Thanks to all our loyal supporters who made the journey on the evening.

U17 Ladies
Our u17 Ladies will take on Dr Crokes on Thursday evening next in Ballymac at 7.15pm in the Quarter Final of the A County Championship.
U9 boys
U9 boys played two games against Castlegregory Thursday evening in Ballymac. Both teams showed great determination and team work throughout. Our boys are improving with every game they play. Keep up the practice at home. Well done boys
U11 boys
Our under 11 boys played Tarbert on Sunday morning, well done to all.
Academy
The very best of luck to all our Ballymac U5 players who start Junior Infants this week. We’re so proud of you, and can’t wait to hear all about your first week in school at training next Sunday.
U7 boys and girls played Cordal this morning. Despite the poor weather conditions they played 3 great games. Well done to all.
