Sympathy

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Katie Quinn, Lyreacrompane. Katie was a great supporter of our club, a valued member of the LGFA, and a beloved player on our Mother’s and Other’s team. Her spirit, humour, and remarkable talents both on and off the pitch will be warmly remembered by everyone who knew her.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to her parents, Mary and Mike; her sisters, Tina (Senior Ladies Player) and Michelle (Mother’s and Other’s Captain); her adored nephew, Rían (Academy U9 Player); and the entire Quinn family.

May Katie rest in peace.

Under 13 boys

U13 Boys played in the Division 15 County League Final on Wednesday evening in Ballyrickard. Things went against us in the first half with an early goal from Mitchels, and they led by 2-4 to 0-2 at half time. It was a different Ballymac that came out in the second half of the game, and we clawed it back to within a point. With a gallant effort and great team spirit, we did our utmost, but the result just didn’t go our way. The final score was 3-7 to 1-10.

Thanks for all the support from the parents and a special word of thanks to our U11 players. Well done to John Mitchel’s!
