TRALEE will once again play host to the annual ever-popular Santa Fun Run on Sunday, December 16 and everyone is invited to ‘be a Claus for a cause’.

Now in its’ sixth year this event has gone from strength to strength as families get into the Christmas spirit by coming out to participate, support and enjoy this yearly colourful display.

This year, the event will, as in prior years, commence and finish at Tralee Wetlands centre with events commencing at 11am.

Over the past few years this event, which is organised in memory of Fiona Moore, of Caherslee who passed away in 2013, raises much needed funds for deserving childrens’ charities.

To date the proceeds have gone to Make a Wish Foundation, Heart Children Ireland, Ronald McDonald House, Barretstown and Kerry University Hospital.

All of these facilities were fantastic in their support of Fiona during her illness. All are equally grateful for the tremendous support received for their respective charities from the people of Kerry.

This year, the chosen charity for the Tralee Santa Fun Run is Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, where each year hundreds of children are treated for serious medical conditions.

The cost remain €10 per adult and €5 for under 12’s so it is the best value fun run in Ireland. It certainly is the most colourful. We need your support to keep this event as one of the most popular family occasions in Tralee each year.

So mark the date and time, and  support for this wonderful charity. Medals will be available for all participants as well as refreshments and entertainment en route.
