Blennerville Project To Receive €500,000 In Funding

NEARLY €700,000 has been announced for three Kerry projects under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

A total of €698,370 will got towards projects in Blennerville, Cromane and Dingle. €500,000 will be allocated for the redevelopment of currently disused craft workshops adjoined to the famous Blennerville Windmill.

These will be developed into a community bakery and bakery school, both of which will source local organic ingredients.

Cromane will receive €100,000 for the development of a connected community hub in the former national school building.

Finally €98,370 will be provided to redevelop Dingle Town Park creating an accessible and intergenerational recreational space for visitors and residents.

Minister for Education and Kerry TD Norma Foley welcomed the news saying: “Today’s announcement which will provide significant investment for three important redevelopment projects in Blennerville, Cromane and Dingle.  These three ambitious plans will assist local communities and businesses to reimagine and redevelop the centres of their towns and villages investing in industry, education and creative endeavour.”
