Cara Credit Union Celebrates ICU Day With Members

CHAPTER 23 Credit Unions of Kerry and West Limerick joined credit union members around the world to celebrate International Credit Union Day on Thursday.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of ICU day where credit unions around the world reflect on the movement’s history, promote its achievements, recognise its hard work and share member experiences.

“Our members and community are our backbone and we are so proud here at Cara Credit Union of the part we play in sustaining that community,” said Chairperson of Marketing Department of Chapter 23 Credit Unions.

“We genuinely care about our members, and put them at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to remain a cornerstone of our community by continuing to go above and beyond for our members. We enjoyed celebrating with our members, and indeed the whole community, on ICU Day.”

There were a number of €50 vouchers up for grabs for members who carried out an in branch transaction, kiosk lodgment/ withdrawal, online transaction or loan application on the day.

They also had sweets and treats on the day and carried out random acts of kindness around each of their common bond areas.

Cara Credit Union gave thanks to Heavenly Baked for the amazing cakes and cupcakes and to all the local businesses and people they met throughout the day including Cronin’s Restaurant & Deli, Rosses Centra Ballyduff, Londis Ballyduff, Wild Tralee, Shades of Bloom Floral Design Sheila’s Florist Castleisland, Puck Country Store and Benners Hotel Tralee.
