IN Kerry there are many organisations providing critical services, not just at Christmas but all year around. Many of these organisations now find themselves in financial difficulty as fundraising efforts, commercial activities and other services they rely on have been curtailed due to the ongoing covid crisis.

Again, this year Cara Credit Union are on hand to lend their support to ensure St. Vincent de Paul can continue to deliver food hampers to those in need.

Pa Laide, CEO, Cara Credit Union said; “We would support these community groups throughout the year but our priority at Christmas is to ensure the most vulnerable in our society have food on the table.

“Visiting the SVP Collections Centre I was truly humbled to see the many volunteers working tirelessly to ensure all those who need them will receive food hampers in time for Christmas.  Due to the ongoing support from our members we are delighted to assist SVP in whatever way we can.”

Paddy Kevane, Area President of St. Vincent de Paul Kerry said; “The need for donations this year has been exacerbated due to Covid. The support we get in Kerry in pheromonal and I would like to thank everyone who donated this year.

“We would also like to thank Cara Credit Union for coming on board once again to lend their support at a time when we need it most. If you would like to donate to SVP you can do so by calling 066 712 8021 or calling into one of our Vincent’s Shops.”
