THE annual Kerry ‘Dip In The Nip’ will return again on Saturday, August 31 in aid of two worthy charities.

Organised by Wild Water Adventures it will be the fourth time the event, exclusively for women, will be held at a beach near Tralee.

Last year, over 180 inspiring women participated, supporting Kerry Cancer Support Group and Recovery Haven. This year’s  location remains a closely guarded secret, revealed just a day or two before the event.

Participants will be notified by email and the location will be within 20 minutes of Tralee.
The dawn event is supported by a dedicated all-female crew, including lifeguards and marshals who generously volunteer their time.

The event is open to all women aged 18 and over. Registration, priced at €40 (+ booking fee), is now open through Eventbrite, and everyone who signs up will receive a medal to mark their participation and will be automatically entered into a draw for some great prizes.

Pre-registration is vital, however, as entries cannot be processed on the morning of the event. Dip starts at 7am, so be sure to arrive in plenty of time. There will have plenty of parking available.

Be sure to bring tea/coffee and cake and stay around for a chat after where there will be spot prizes for ticket holders up for grabs.

Breda Dyland from the Kerry Cancer Support Group expressed her excitement for the upcoming  event, extending her gratitude to Michaela and John Edwards of Wild Water Adventures, and their dedicated volunteers for organising it.

She encouraged the ladies of Kerry and beyond to join them on the 31st of August for another memorable sunrise event.

Marisa Reidy from Recovery Haven Kerry said; “After witnessing the success of the past three years and the profound emotion and solidarity felt by all the participants, we are thrilled and honoured to be part of this incredible event once again. We encourage all women to join us—it’s a truly, special experience, that they won’t regret. As the saying goes, ‘Feel the fear and do it anyway.'”
