CHURCHILL Heritage Group is compiling a book of memorial cards of all those from the area that have died.

The Group says the book will be an important historical document for future generations and a loving tribute to those who have passed.

“It is hoped to create a collection of memories that will be of great value to the people of the parish,” said a spokesperson for the Group.

The group are asking people to loan them any memorial cards they have of anyone from the area, no matter when or where they died, or where they are buried.

Where no memorial card exists, the deceased person can still be included in the publication by providing relevant details, i.e. date of death, address etc.

“Perhaps you know of someone from the parish who has no living relatives to remember them; it would be greatly appreciated if any memory cards or information could be provided for these people,” said the spokesperson.

There is a collection box in Churchill church where memorial cards can be securely deposited.   The cards will be kept until scanned for printing and safely returned in due course.  Cards can also be posted to Churchill Heritage Group, Churchill, Tralee, Co Kerry.

Alternatively, they may be given to committee members Peggy Daly (087 7750129), Joan Harmon (086 2110004) or Christine Gallagher (086 4459265) who will be happy to address any queries that might arise.
