Council To Consider Plans For 28 Local Authority Units Near Connolly Park

The land (to the west of Stacks Villas, south of Connolly Park) where it is proposed to build 28 units of local authority housing.

COUNCILLORS are to decide on approving proposals to build a new housing development on an area adjacent to Connolly Park and Stacks Villas.

At the next Tralee Municipal District meeting on Monday afternoon, they will consider the Manager’s Report and Recommendation, in accordance with Section 179 (3) (a) of the Planning and Development Act 2000-2017 for the construction of 28 Local Authority residential units, and associated site works at an address at Balloonagh, Tralee.

The development consists of one, two and three bedroom units on the land close to the Austin Stacks’ Nun’s Field and behind Scoil Eoin, Balloonagh. Access to the new estate will be from Connolly Park.

A public meeting attended by Connolly Park and Stacks Villas residents, public representatives and gardaí was held at the Austin Stacks Clubhouse recently, where residents had a chance to have their say on the development.
