Eight New COVID-19 Cases Reported For Kerry This Evening, 687 Nationally

THERE were eight new cases of COVID-19 reported for Kerry at the NPHET briefing this evening.

There was one additional death and 687 more cases reported nationally.

The 14 day incidence of new cases for Kerry is 53.5 per 100,000 people. There have been 79 cases reported in the same period and the rolling five day average of cases is 9. Kerry is still the county with the lowest incidence of cases in the past 14 days. The national incidence rate over the past 14 days is 209.2.

240 in Dublin, 49 in Limerick, 44 in Offaly, 40 in Galway, 36 in Louth and the remaining 278 cases are spread across 19 other counties.

There have now been 220,273 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland and 4,319 people who died with the virus since the start of then pandemic.

As of 8am today, 540 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 120 are in ICU. There have been 14 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of last Friday (26 February), there have been 426,070 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in Ireland:
• 285,780 people have received their first dose
• 140,290 people have received their second dose

  1. Vaccinate the sick, the elderly and front line workers.
    Of course anyone else who wants it for all I care. But, open up things after that!

    I know the governments purchased double the amount to our population but this was done to give away to the developing world nation at our tax payers expense – I don’t care at this point, the so called government can even give my dose away as I would literally rather die than take that particular vaccination 🙂
