Club Lotto:

Next Draw – Tickets are available at all the usual outlets for our next draw which will take place on Friday 5th March with the Jackpot Prize of €12,600.

Many thanks to you all for your continued support of our Clubs Fundraising Lotto.

Good Luck:

The very best wishes to all the students, teachers, SNAs and school staff returning to the classrooms tomorrow (Monday, March 1st 2021).

We hope that everything will continue to improve and all the students will fill our classrooms once again in the coming weeks.

Coiste Na nÓg:

Our juvenile teams are busy training ahead of the return to football hopefully in the not too distant future. Teams are busy with 2km time trials, pick up challenges and much more.

This Sunday evening, February 28th our U11 Boys Team had their team meeting and fun quiz. A big thanks to Garry Murphy and his coaches for arranging the quiz and especially to Liam Doherty for once again doing a fantastic job of organising a great quiz.

With the sun shining down on Paddy Burke Memorial Park this afternoon we hope that a safe return to football for all of our players will not be too far away.

Nótaí Cultúrtha & Teanga:

Dia dhaoibh gach duine. Caitríona Uí Dhuinneacha anseo, is mise Oifigeach Gaeilge agus Cultúrtha nua an chlub. Ba mhaith liom buíochas a ghabháil leis an gcoiste sa chlub as an deis iontach seo a thabhairt dom agus táim ag súil le bualadh libh go léír chomh luath agus is féidir linn.

Hello everyone, Catherine Dennehy here, I’m the club’s new Cultural and Irish Officer. I’d like to thank the Club’s Committee for giving me this wonderful opportunity and I’m looking forward to meeting you all as soon as we are able.

Anois tá Seachtain na Gaeilge ag tosnú inniu. Dar ndóígh mar is eol daoibh, leanfaidh sé níos faide ná seachtain. Cé nach mbímid in ann bualadh le chéile i mbliana bímid ag cur na Gaeilge chun cinn sa chlub le linn an tréimhse.  Ba mhaith liom gach duine agaibh, óg nó aosta, a spreagadh le páirt a ghlacadh sa cheiliúradh. Beidh na sonraí, chomh maith le nascanna d’acmhainní éagsúla le fail ar mheáin shóisialta an chlub le linn na coicíse seo chugainn agus is cuma cén leibhéal Gaeilge atá agaibh, tá suíl againn go mbeidh rud suimiúil ann le gach duine.

Now Seachtain na Gaeilge begins today. Indeed, as you know it will last more than a week. Even though we cannot meet up this year we are promoting Irish in the club throughout.  I would like to encourage every one of you, young or old to take part in the celebration. The details will be available on the club’s social media during the coming fortnight, along with links to various resources and we hope that no matter what level of Irish you have there will be something of interest for everyone.

Condolences:

Everyone at Milltown/Castlemaine GAA Club wishes to offer their sincere condolences to the family of Noreen Griffin, who passed away yesterday.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Noreen’s husband Tom, who is our club president, and the entire Griffin family.

Noreen and her family have been involved with the club for many years -always willing to give their time and assistance.

Noreen’s grandchildren continue to play with the club at various levels.

We are thinking of you all at this sad time.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
