Four Kerry Organisations To Receive Toy Show Appeal Grants

FOUR Kerry organisations are among the recipients of RTÉ Toy Show Appeal grants to help transform young lives in every county across the island of Ireland.

In all €4million will be allocated in 147 grants to benefit 1.2million children across the island.

Kerry Diocesan Youth Service will receive €58,000 to provide a community access service with qualified staff to supervise access in a nurturing and safe environment.

Foodshare Kerry receives € 7,000 to establish 10 School Breakfast Club for more than 1000 children facing poverty in Kerry.

Ballyspillane Community & Family Resource Centre will receive € 43,000 to provide a dedicated space for sensory development and play & art therapies for 200 children in Kerry.

South West Kerry Family Resource Centre will receive €15,000 to provide therapeutic services including trauma-based services to children and their families in rural parts of Kerry who have mental health difficulties or autism.

Founded in 2020, the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal has raised over €17.5m for children’s charities to date.  Over the past three years 359 grants have been provided to 226 children’s charities across the island of Ireland.  It is estimated that the Appeal has helped over 1.1million children and family members annually since its inception.
