Irish Under 18 Basketball Squad In Tralee For Skills Session And Game Against Warriors

THE Irish Under 18 basketball team is coming to Kerry for a four day camp in preparation for the forthcoming European Basketball Championships in Romania which
are taking place later this month.

The squad features three local Kerry players who are members of the Garveys Tralee Warriors squad Rap Buivydas, Dáire Kennelly and Leeroy Odiahi.

International Coaches Paul Kelleher and Ciarán O’Sullivan and the Irish squad will be holding a Coaching and Skills session at the Kerry Sports Academy on Friday, July 5 from 10am to 1pm for young Kerry basketballers (7 -15 year olds). On Friday evening the Irish U18 team are taking on the Garveys Tralee Warriors at Tralee Sports Centre with a 7.45pm tip off.

Coach Kelleher is also inviting local coaches to attend one of the Ireland sessions on Thursday evening 6-9pm at Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School.

Roy & Eleanor Bowler of Sandy Feet Pet Farm in Camp, along with Frank & Honest Coffee have come on board as two of the main sponsors for the squad’s European Championships and the squad are looking forward to visiting Sandy Feet while they are down in Kerry.
