IT TRALEE students have produced a video that voices their opposition to government student loans which, they feel, will land them with crippling debt for years.

The two-and-a-half minute long video was shot on the campus and is presented by President of the IT Tralee Students Union, Steve Clifford.

“We welcome the government’s option for ‘Publicly Funded Education’ and reject loan schemes and unwanted debt. Education is a public good and as such should be free. It’s far too expensive as it is and introducing loan schemes will destroy student experience in this country,” said Steve Clifford.
