Another great session on Sunday on the astro. We worked on the skills for the first part of the session and a game for the second half. With the longer training time we got a lot done and well done to all the boys. Remember we have a blitz on the afternoon of Thursday 25 April. Keep practicing at home now that the weather is good and your skills will really improve. Well done everyone.

Intermediate Championship Rd 2 Grp 4. We entertained Beaufort at home on   Sunday in Ballyseedy .Mitchel’s got off to a flying start and lead from the throw into the end of the game , some excellent scores from Alan O Donoghue, James Decennial Sheehy ,Wayne Duggan, Shane O Connor, Thomas Kearns  and Michael Kelliher saw us build up a big lead and this coupled by super defending saw us  lead at the short whistle 0-11 to 0-2 playing with a strong wind. The second half saw us start with an early point into the wind byMichael Kelliher set the tone for the second half and we continued to push up on Beaufort with fine points from Alan O Donoghue, James Duggan and Niall Sheehy put us into a commanding lead coming into the last few minutes where Beaufort added a goal leaving the Final score Mitchel’s 0-17  Beaufort 1-5.Well done to all on a very polished performance with excellent scores, super defending and discipline. John Mitchels are kicking off their fundraising this year with a pub Quiz in Galleys bar and restaurant on Friday 12th April at 8.00pm. Teams of 4 with €40 per team. Great fun for all and some fantastic spot prizes on the night. All money raised goes towards juvenile training and gear.

We have joined up with St Vincent De Paul to rise much needed funds for both John Mitchel’s and SVP. Vincent’s charity shops are a very important aspect of the service SVP provides. Not only do they provide people with new and lightly worn items at affordable prices, they also provide an income source for the Society, which is recycled directly back into the community.

By donating your second-hand clothes and unwanted items, not only will you be freeing up space in your home, you will also be making a difference to people in need, in your community.

We now have an SVP clothes bank in our car park at our state-of-the-art sports facility in Ballyseedy.

A fantastic new facility has now been added at our grounds in Ballyseedy.
A new walkway/jogging path approx. 1km long has been laid, complete with bollard level lighting.
Come and enjoy a fabulous experience in a safe and healthy environment.
This community facility is open to all and is free for a limited opening period. A reasonable membership fee may apply at a later date.
A hearty, healthy John Mitchel’s welcome awaits you!
