ACADAMH NA nÓG
Well done to everyone who entered our Juvenile Valentine competition. It showed us that the simple things in life make our children happy and smile. Covid has probably made many of us stop and think that our children don’t have to be entertained 24 / 7. This they can do themselves . Play is more than fun, it helps our children practice important skills to help them prepare for adulthood.
U8 Erin Lynch and U7 Jude Raymond’s names were drawn for their entries. They each received a tasty box of Heavenly Baked cupcakes and treats… sooo tasty!! Everyone else will also receive a small treat.
More competitions coming up in the near future.
Stay safe and be positive!
Enjoy your midterm everyone, parents included!

U16 GIRLS
Well done to our coaches and an enthusiastic group of U16s for participating in online training sessions during the week. The training sessions incorporated a mix of various things and was the first of many until lockdown lifts!
Our online strength and conditioning continues every Monday for the next few weeks at 5p.m.  with The Kerry Academy.

MINOR LADIES
Welcome to Damien Kissane who this year is one of our minor coaches. Damien was our U16 manager in 2020.He  is delighted to be involved again this year .
Thanks to Damien for making out a fitness programme for the girls. The programme will be over zoom 2 nights a week as a team and the 3rd night will be individual training.

SENIOR LADIES
We are delighted that many of our senior ladies in 2021 have come the whole way up through the grades from our juvenile academy, these young ladies are paving the way for all young girls playing football  in Strand Road.

WHAT’S APP GROUPS
All ladies what’s app groups will now become for  admin. only to post messages. Any girl U18 for safeguarding reasons may not be included in these groups. A parent’s number will be used, when a juvenile turns 18 years of age her number may then be added with her permission of course!
When Foireann is up and running we will no longer be using what’s app.

eVETTING AND SAFEGUARDING
We have been notified that everyone who hasn’t done Garda evetting with the GAA or LGFA within the last 3 years must do so again.

Also a Safeguarding course which is a requirement must be done through the GAA / LGFA as other organisations and sports would not cover specifics . Child welfare courses are coming up online.

Enjoy the midterm break ladies, a break from the laptops !
