Seniors:

We await the outcome of next weekend’s ¼ final when Mid Kerry play Na Gaeil ( Sun 15th @ 3.30 pm in Fitzgerald Stadium) in the county senior championship as only then will we know the fixture for the upcoming relegation game vs Na Gaeil – should Na Gaeil prevail in this encounter and proceed to the final we would automatically be relegated.

We have been in this situation previously, ironically both times vs Kilcummin ( both times victorious) but even when not in this position we have voiced our opposition to the system that allows only 8 senior clubs in the county.

We will have a situation that come the end of the year that Tralee, with a population of c.25,000 people, will have but one senior football club in the town – that this is detrimental to football in the town and will not benefit the county team is indisputable – despite bringing two motions in the last five years to convention, we have been met with a stonewall in attempting to have this changed which is most disappointing.

Juvenile Academy:

The fields of Ballyrickard were full of laughter and fun on our last training session of the season in Ballyrickard. Next week our last Fun Training session of the season will take place in Strand Rd Main Pitch. Full details will be sent out via Clubzap to all our juveniles who have trained so hard all year.

Our U5, U7 Boys and U6, U8 Girls enjoyed their training session as always with their amazing coaches, who we are so grateful to each week for volunteering. The boys and girls always attend with a smile on their face and an even bigger smile when they are leaving after a sun filled session. The improvement in each player is fantastic to see and we look forward to watching all of them continue their journey in our club.

Our U9 Boys had a fantastic turnout at our last academy session in Ballyrickard this past Sunday morning. Next Saturday, we’re off to UL for the Munster Blitz. The day promises to be an unforgettable team outing for these exceptional young lads.

U10 Girls – A massive well done to our U10 girls Saturday evening finishing off the season with a game away to Annascaul. Girls played some lovely football showcasing their skills and some lovely scoring. Thanks to Annascaul for having us. Another well done to all the U10 girls for coming to training week in week out with big numbers showing up every week it’s fantastic to see. They enjoyed every game they played this year. Good luck to the girls moving up to u12s next year. Their coaches are very proud of each and every U10 girl this year. Ye are a fabulous bunch and we can’t wait to watch ye thrive over the years ahead.

Dr Crokes and Kerins O’Rahillys under 11s.

U11 Boys – There was a huge welcome for Dr. Crokes U11s to Healy Park on Sunday morning. The boys had two very enjoyable games showing off great skills and teamwork. The Kerins O Rahillys, Dr. Crokes link has been fostered over the past 35 years and it was great to see this tradition alive and well in Pat Healy Park on Sunday

Looking forward to seeing all our juveniles next Sunday in Strand Rd for our final fun session of the year.

Nótaí na mBan:

Sport brings people together on and off the pitch.

Gaelic football encourages camaraderie and teamwork. This shines through on the playing field with happy young ladies having a ball .

There are still underage games going on so keep an eye on fixtures on our club’s social media.

Many thanks to all of our coaches who give up so much of their time to coach our wonderful young ladies.

U12 GIRLS

Tralee’s rising stars were out in force last Saturday in Pat Healy Park, Ballyrickard for a fun blitz.

There was some cracking football played and it was fantastic to watch with Austin Stacks, Churchill  and John Mitchels participating.

The games gave all young players a chance to go play and express themselves in a day of fun games.

The energy and enthusiasm shown by all teams was super to watch and great skills of ladies football were on show by all players.

Many thanks to all teams , parents, supporters and coaches.

Well done to all!

A wonderful morning from start to finish…. warm breeze, dry day and most importantly happy young ladies.

Many thanks to everyone who supported our shop on the day and to everyone who brought something for our cake sale. All proceeds from this will subsidise the girls “mystery trip” next weekend.

We’re looking forward to seeing our U12s next Saturday morning for their trip.

U13 DISTRICT

Messages will be sent once fixture v South Kerry has been confirmed.

On what was a great evening for football we served up a great game . We were dominant throughout and even with the loss of one of our players due to an injury in the second half we continued to lead. Great skill and commitment from everyone
