Kerins O’Rahillys GAA Mourns Passing Of Club President

THE Kerins O’Rahillys GAA Club is mourning its Club President, Micheál Kerins, who passed away yesterday.

Micheál represented his club with distinction on and off the field, enjoying a stellar playing career with Kerins O’Rahillys winning three senior county championships during the 1950s. He also played minor, junior and senior football for Kerry.

Predeceased by his wife Finola in 2016, he is survived by his daughter Tara, sons Seán, Haulie (who is current Kerins O’Rahillys GAA Chairman) and Rory, grandchildren Maurice, Micheál, Emmet, Michael, Kate, Eugenie, Odhrán and Roisín, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Michelle, Anne and Gena, sisters Margaret (Duffy) and Phil (Curran), brothers-in-law Con Curran, Adrian (Pat), Des and John O’Mahony, sisters-in-law Anne and Angela, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

In accordance with Government and HSE guidelines, a private family funeral will take place for Micheál on this Friday at 12 noon at St. John’s Parish Church, Tralee, followed by burial in New Rath Cemetery, Tralee. The Requiem Mass will be livestreamed at www.stjohns.ie
