Kerry Airport Reports Rise In Passenger Numbers During Summer Months

KERRY Airport is reporting a 15% increase in passenger numbers for the main summer months from May to September 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

Combined inbound and outbound passenger figures on all Ryanair routes were up by nearly 27,000 for the five-month period with sun routes to Faro and Alicante still operating until the end of October and start of November respectively.

Kerry Airport CEO John Mulhern said, “Kerry Airport is very pleased with how the 2023 Summer season (May to Sept) has performed with a 15% increase in passenger numbers.”

“The continuing support of our Ryanair destinations and the introduction of a new seasonal Chalair service to Brittany, France contributed to the positive figures.

“We are well on the way to exceeding the passenger numbers for 2022 which finished at 356,141 and represented a 96.3% recovery from the pre-Covid highs of 2019,” he said.
