Kerry Airport To Receive €681,000 In Funding

MINISTER of State at the Department of Transport, Jack Chambers TD, has today announced funding of €681,000 for Kerry Airport.

The capital funding allocation comes under the Regional Airports Programme 2021-2025. In all, combined funding of over €5.6m has been allocated to support the eligible regional airports in Donegal, Kerry and Ireland West (Knock).

This will contribute towards capital investment in safety and security at airports, while also supporting projects with a sustainability focus.

Welcoming the news, Minister for Education Norma Foley said: “I’m very pleased tthat significant funding of €681,000 has been given the green light for Kerry Airport.  This investment is wholeheartedly welcome.

She added: “The funding is consistent with the Programme for Government pledge to deliver capital programmes required to support services and ensure safety at our regional airports.”
