AFTER the social whirlwind that is December, dreary January is here and many will choose to go into hibernation for the month.
However, GAA fans have a lot to look forward to with the Kerry footballers and hurlers back in McGrath Cup and Munster League action in the coming weeks.
That means the Kerry GAA Supporters Club will have a lot to look forward to, not least their annual social which returns for the first time since their 30th anniversary bash in 2020. The social will be held in the Ballygarry Estate hotel on Saturday, January 21.

Tickets costing €50 can be purchased from any committee member and invitees include David Clifford, Sean O’Shea, Joe O’Connor, Jack O’Connor and, of course, Sam Maguire. To enquire about tickets go to their Facebook page to message them by clicking here.
Music is by Ui Bhriain and a great night is guaranteed. Meanwhile, the club will have a bus for the league opener in Donegal on January 29th.
It’s an overnight trip costing €130 per person with a limited single supplement available at €150. This includes coach, hotel B&B and evening meal. The club will collect the money for this trip on Monday, January 16 at 8pm in Ballygarry and The Listowel Arms.
