LEGENDS of Kerry football were feted at the 30th annual Kerry Supporters Club Social at Ballygarry House Hotel on Saturday night, which was attended by over 250 guests.
The five Kerry players — Ger Power, Pat Spillane, Ogie Moran, Mikey Sheehy and the late Páidí Ó Sé — who each hold eight All-Ireland SFC medals, were celebrated.
Páidí was represented by his son Padraig Óg Ó Sé, but unfortunately Ogie Moran was unable to attend. The evening began at 7pm with a drinks reception in the Pavilion on arrival, followed by a fabulous menu and music from Neily O’Connor.
MC Tim Moynihan, from Radio Kerry’s ‘Terrace Talk’, hosted a live “on the couch” interview with Mikey, Ger, Pat, Mick O’Dwyer’s son John and Pádraig Óg, where many a story of the glory years was told.
The achievements of the Kerry Camogie team this year were also recognised with team manager Ian Brick and captain Niamh Leen bringing the silverware.
A great night of entertainment then, with many present looking forward to the start of the National Football League next week with a trip to Dublin. Scroll down for photos…
