A TRALEE hotel was among the winners in a prestigious awards ceremony on Tuesday night.
Hotel & Catering Review runs the prestigious Keelings Farm Fresh Gold Medal Awards, which have recognized and rewarded excellence in the Irish hospitality and catering industries for 28 years.
Ballygarry House Hotel was shortlisted in the Wedding Venue category, decided by public vote, and it won the category.

Speaking after accepting the award on behalf of all the team at Ballygarry, proprietor Padraig McGillicuddy said “It was with great pride that my wife Carmel and I received this award, it really is for each and every member of the hardworking and dedicated team at the hotel. Ballyseede Castle Hotel was shortlisted for the Best Guest Experience award at the event in Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny.
Other Kerry winners were Killeen House Hotel which won the Three-Star Hotel category, Castlewood House won Country House & Best Guest Experience, Dunloe Hotel won the Family Friendly Hotel while The Europe Hotel won Ireland’s Hotel Spa (5 Star) award.
