CONTINUING on from a hugely successful series of youth choral workshops and performances in 2017, Creative Ireland Kerry, co-ordinated by the Kerry County Council’s Arts Office has arranged an even greater number of opportunities for youth singing in six locations, including Tralee, across the county during the month of June.

Creative Ireland Kerry is encouraging more and more young people ages 6-18yrs to join singing workshops in Tralee, Listowel, Killarney, Killorglin and Dingle in the month ahead.

Gemma Sugrue who performs with Jenny Greene and the RTE Concert Orchestra and well known for her performances at Electric Picnic is focussed on delivering youth choral through intensive summer singing camps running in Tralee, Listowel and Killarney from Monday 18th June to Friday 23rd June.

The camps are called ‘Kerry Sing Together’ and they promise to be a week of immersion in the art of contemporary singing.

Participants will learn a variety of vocal techniques and work through a unique set of message songs composed after 1970.

Rehearsals will take place in Tralee in the Education Room at Kerry County Museum.

The Teen Rehearsal takes place from 18th – 22nd June 12.30 – 3pm

The Kids Rehearsal from 18th – 22nd June 4 – 6.30pm
