Less Than Five Additional COVID-19 Cases In Kerry, 474 More Nationally

LESS than five new cases of COVID-19 reported for Kerry this evening.

There were three additional deaths and 474 new cases of the virus reported nationally.

The 14 day incidence of new cases for Kerry is 19 per 100,000 people. There have been 28 cases reported in the same period and the rolling five day average of cases is one.

Kerry is still the county with the lowest incidence of cases in the past 14 days. The national incidence rate over the past 14 days is 124.6.

167 of today’s reported cases are in Dublin, 39 in Kildare, 37 in Cork, 36 in Donegal, 29 in Meath and the remaining cases are spread across all other counties.

There have now been 248,326 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland and 4,899 people who died with the virus since the start of the pandemic.

As of 8am today, 155 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 44 are in ICU. 14 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of April 27 2021, 1,452,434 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland:

•1,041,284 people have received their first dose

•411,150 people have received their second dose
