Gardaí from the Kerry Division arrested a man (aged in his 50s) on Friday at Dublin Airport in relation to the ongoing investigation into the fatal assault of Joe Brosnan at Abbey Court, Tralee, on May 22, 2022.
The arrest follows the extradition of the man from England where he had been arrested on foot of a Trade and Co-Operation Agreement arrest warrant.
He has since been charged in relation to this investigation and is due to appear before a special sitting of Kenmare District Court this afternoon, Saturday 7th October. Investigations are ongoing.
Joe Brosnan (52) was discovered at an apartment in the Abbey Court apartment complex, Tralee with serious injuries shortly after 7pm on May 22, 2022. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
